You can’t help every child, but you can change the world for one

How can I help?

We have hundreds of children in need of sponsorship. You can help by sponsoring a child or children, or indeed you and your organisation could sponsor an orphanage.
You, along with your friends or your church, may adopt one of the village orphanages as your very own orphanage to support on a monthly basis. We have orphanages of varying sizes – small, medium, and large. If you are interested in supporting a particular sized orphanage, please advise us and we will send you the complete details of that particular orphanage.

You, your team and/or guests are welcome to come and visit your orphanage at your convenience.
Sponsoring a child through India Hope allows you, and your children, to learn about how less fortunate children live. Your family will get to grow and watch your India Hope child grow with you – you can send and receive letters and photographs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long does sponsorship last?

It can vary, depending on what age the child is when you sponsor them and if the child’s circumstances change. Typically we would look for a commitment of a minimum of five years.

What are my obligations if the cost of looking after my sponsored child increases?

The monthly cost of sponsoring a child may change, for example as the child enters high school and pursues advanced levels of education; you can of course maintain the level of your existing contribution, but we would welcome an increased contribution if possible.

What if my circumstances change and I’m unable to continue payments?

If you wish to or need to stop sponsoring a child, you may do so at any time and we will endeavor to find another sponsor for that child.

Will I receive a photograph of my sponsored child? What interaction do I have with my sponsored child?

Due to child protective reasons, we cannot place pictures of individual children on the internet. We assure you that when you choose to sponsor a child, we will quickly contact you and send you the relevant information.

Can I send presents?

You are welcome to share your special celebrations, such as Christmas, with your sponsored child. However, we ask that you do not send specific gifts. Instead, we ask that you contribute towards a special Gift Fund; this gift fund will be used to help the community in which the child lives. For example, by putting the funds towards a new playground or by buying new books for the local school library – this way many children can benefit from your gift.
